Activities and Responsibilties

Dr. Ujam’s activities and responsibilities include teaching of general and inorganic chemistry courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including advanced transition metal chemistry and organometallic chemistry. He also serves in the Department, Faculty and University administrative work committees.

Brief Biography

Dr. Oguejiofo T. Ujam attended the College of the Immaculate Conception. Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria. He obtained BSc (Hons) in Industrial Chemistry and PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Nigeria and University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand respectively. Ujam started his career as a Chemistry academic in November, 1999 as the pioneer coordinator of the Industrial Chemistry programme at Madonna University, Okija, Anambra State. He joined the services of the University of Nigeria in September, 2003 as a Graduate Assistant and was appointed an Assistant Lecturer in March, 2006. Ujam had tutelage, extensive teaching and research experiences under world leading academics in chemical sciences, viz Australia (University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand), Asia (National University of Singapore, Singapore) and North America (University of Victoria, Victoria, Canada).

Brief Biography

Dr. Miriam Chinyere Anozie is a staff of the Department of Commercial and Property Law.  She has the following qualifications: 

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) 2013 University of Nigeria; Master of laws (LLM) 1989 Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.  Bachelor of Laws (LLB) 1983 Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

B.L 1984 Nigerian Law School Lagos.

Dr. Anozie was the Head of Department from 2006 – 2008 and 2013 – 2014.

She is the Sub-Editor for Journal of Contemporary legal Issues.  She was so appointed in May, 2008.

Dr. Chinyere Anozie enjoys reading and cooking.

Brief Biography

Mr Paul Ijeoma Anyaoha hails from Njoba Local Government Area in Imo State of Nigeria. He was born on 14th October, 1959. He acquired his primary education at Central School Nsukka where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1973. He proceeded with his secondary education at Bishop Shanahan College Orlu where he obtained his WAEC in 1980. He obtained his both OND and HND in Nigerian Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) in 1986 and 1989 respectively. He joined the service of University of Nigeria, Nsukka on 3rd July, 1981 as Laboratory Assistant. He has undergone series of promotions and became the Chief Technologist in 2011 in the Department of Pure and Industrial Chemistry in the same university.

Area of specialization: Chemistry/Biochemistry Techniques

Responsibilities: Laboratory Technologist; General Laboratory duty

Membership of professional bodies:     Associate member of Nigerian Institute of Science and Technology (NIST)
