Brief Biography

Edwin M. Igbokwe is a professor of agricultural/rural sociology at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria where he has taught at undergraduate and graduate levels since 1993 and currently the Director, Centre for Rural Development and Cooperatives (CRDC), University of Nigeria. He received a Ph.D from the same university in 1992. He has carried out rural research in several development-related subjects in Africa including public policy, rural economics, land use and administration, indigenous knowledge and rural development and technology policies. His current interest is technology policy and development. An associate fellow of the African Institute for Applied Economics (A.I.A.E.), Enugu, Nigeria, Dr. Igbokwe has consulted widely for both local and international agencies such as the Free University, Amsterdam, the Word Bank and USAID in Nigeria. He served as a supervisor in Adamawa and Yobe States in 2005 and Kaduna State in 2006 SEEDS Benchmarking exercises and actively participated in the quality control, report writing and draft presentation of the 2005 report. He has also served as a resource person in the editing and presentation of Abia and Enugu LGAs’ LEEDS. A specialist in participatory appraisal techniques, he has over fifty publications including his pioneering work with Nnenna Enwere, Participatory Rural Appraisal in Development Research and many book chapters.

Journal

The Nigerian Juridical Review is a leading international law journal published annually by the Faculty of Law, University of Nigeria. One of the oldest law journals in Nigeria, the journal started publishing in 1976. The journal is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal and publishes well-researched articles on any area of the law. The journal has a tradition of publishing only authoritative, thought-provoking and highly researched materials on contemporary legal issues on Nigerian law and comparative perspectives. Case-law comments and statute notes are also accepted for review and possible publication. Articles with an interdisciplinary approach are encouraged. The journal provides invaluable resource materials for academics, practicing lawyers, judges and policy-makers.

SUBMISSIONS
The Nigerian Juridical Review is an international law journal published by the Faculty of Law, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, Enugu, Nigeria. Articles must be original and well-researched on any area of law. Articles should not exceed 25 pages or 12,000 words typed on A4 paper with double line spacing and one inch margin on both sides. The Nigerian Juridical Review has an exclusive submission policy and therefore accepts for publication only articles submitted which are not under consideration for publication by another journal and has not been published in another journal. Submissions shall be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 200 words. Footnotes should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and be automatically self-adjusting. Papers are subject to anonymous and rigorous peer review. All submissions should be in two hard copies and a soft copy on HP and Microsoft compatible disc sent to the following address:
